Abernant Fire Department encourages community envolvement by it residents and we take pride in our volunteers who donate their time and resources to our community.
Volunteering requires time, dedication and committment. At times you are called to act in the middle of the night or just as you sit down to eat dinner.
Some people don't volunteer because they are afraid of going into a burning building. THIS IS NOT REQUIRED in order to volunteer as a firefighter. There are many roles firefighters play which do not require entering a burning building.
Look over the personnel pages and become familiar with our officers and firefighters. These are the people who care enough about you to sacrifice their time and possibly their lives, and ask nothing in return for themselves.
